Aunty, Yenna Kerrie Thomsen will be presenting a series of three Webinars that aim to help Allied Health Professionals to support, celebrate and affirm the lived experience of First Nations Peoples within the healthcare and NDIS space. Yenna Kerrie uses her combined Occupational Therapy lens and her Buranga approach which has been passed down to her from her People and ancestors.
This series of three yarns is suitable for everyone. We welcome allied health professionals who are starting out early in their career as well experienced practitioners with culturally diverse work experience.
Join us and learn through First Peoples ways of Knowing, Being and Doing what the Allyship role can do to advocate and lead Culturally responsive services and practice.

Yenna Kerrie (she/her) leads an Academic Team within ACU on th ejourney of Allyship as well as an allied health professional team at Hallmark Integrated Health, a culturally diverse and culturally responsive service.
She holds the space for these core values; person-centered, anti-racist, trauma-informed, and co-creating safe therapeutic relationships. Yenna Kerrie is passionate about advocacy that centers the person’s Voice, needs and priorities.
Kerrie takes her leadership responsibility seriously; and aims to support health professionals across community and healthcare settings to be culturally responsive and respectful of every individual, family and community they work with. She will be joined in this Buranga yarn by cultural mentors and Ally’s from within her network and team.
